The Hooligans Intermediate, Starter and Just for Fun Groups.

The Hooligans train weekly and offer sessions where we teach members of the public flyball. We use the Sketchley Farm Park Recreation Ground, Burbage, by kind permission of the Burbage Parish Council. As from 20th March 2010 we will be using new training grounds at Church View Fields Farm, Barwell, LE9 8BB. This is on the B4468 Leicester Road, Barwell. If you are interested in joining the starters group please contact Barbara via the contact page to make sure we can accommodate you as we don't like to train too many dogs at once so training spaces are limited. The next 6 week Starter Block commences on 6th. March 2010.
When both handlers and dogs are ready they can both have a go at a starters tournament. This gives handlers the opportunity to try out the sport, and to decide if they want to commit to a team, or the team wants to commit to them.
Moving on from starters when ready, dogs and handlers can move into the intermediate group and begin to enter open tournaments.
Some dogs and handlers just simply want to train once a week. Either way we do it all for FUN.

Hoolies Intermediate Dogs

Evie the Border Collie is Lucy's second dog, she is also tri coloured. She has a lovely nature but is very high spirited and mischievous particularly when having fun at flyball.

Mollie is another black and white Border Collie owned by Loz. She has got such a cute face and is a really loveable dog. She will run and collect the ball but often drops it and leaves it for someone else to pick up!

Fudge a German Shepherd has been with Mark and Jodie since she was 6 weeks old. She is a beautiful girl. She loves flyball, is very vocal and Mark is working hard on turning this ladette into a lady.

Big Jack is a pure bred black and white Greyhound. Rescued by Becky he is now 8 years old. He loves other Greyhounds and is slowly getting used to other breeds of dog. Becky can confirm that you can definitely teach an old dog new tricks.

Mosie a black and white Border Collie was adopted by Kirsty at 2 years old. She is a loveable, friendly dog who has settled into her new family well along with Kirsty and her little daughter Charlotte.

Millie a chocolate Labrador cross, good enough to eat! Is owned by Chris and is besotted by him. She has taken to flyball with ease, is progressing well and should become a reliable team dog.

Hoolies Starter Dogs

Daisy is a pure bred lemon roan working Cocker Spaniel. She is a pretty girl, very lively and loves nothing better than giving her mum Nicola the run around.

Lottie a West Highland White and a real cutie. Rescued from the RSPCA by Mary and Tony as a puppy. At home she thinks she is Princess Charlotte and has her dad wrapped aroung her little paw!

Little Jack a tri coloured Jack Russell. Rescued in February 2009 while he was on 'death row', having been rehomed several times for his aggressive behaviour. He lives with Shirley, her family and 4 other dogs. Shirley is working very hard to 'tame' him.

Tia a rescued black and white Border Collie. Lives with Emily who says she is a good girl even though a bit of a 'fruit cake'. Tia is excellent at and likes nothing better than herding any dog she comes across.
